Roundup - Friday, May 9, 2014

Your Curator is pulling the late shift this evening, so here's your dawn patrol Roundup. A handful of debuts and welcome returns today, so let's get at it.

Favorites and Duds from Today's Commenting

Favorites, in no particular order:

Well, well, well. ObscureSimpsonsReference gave us a little history lesson in the morning's Johnny Manziel update.

I chuckled at this bit of hyperbole from LaserLightHo in the ESPN Numbers tweet.

What a great play on 'block' in the Joe Kerridge post, pkellen2313. This is one of those that takes a sudden, dark turn into clinical depression, and I can't help but laugh.

BloodGames returns to the Roundup with this nasty little dig at Dan Snyder in the Lavar Arrington post.

Good God there's a ton of shit in the Leaked Scouting Report, but at least Same Sad Echo showed up to re-write the headline. Just down the page, Fidrych or die tryin demonstrated his lexical acumen, and Steve U betrayed an interest in literary ethics. Nerds.

Fartsmello Anthony really touched on the fucked up nut of the matter in the Donald Sterling post via this disturbing pick-up line. MattinglysSideburns also pushed Sterling's logic to extreme absurdity for a criminally under-recommended comment. John, Maddened had some very nice sleight of hand. ThePDFGhost, however, takes Comment of the Day for this simple optative. That is a seriously good comment.

And finally, we have two excellent Idiot jokes to acknowledge in the Crazy Train Lady post: Cut-to-Cure had some ridiculous trutherism, while Milo Minderbinder went for his trusty concision.

Total Fucking Duds

No duds tonight. It's late. I'm tired. Tune in Sunday for the Week in Review. Tell us your favorites or oversights below. G'night.
