It looks like Humpday slapped us with some mid-week doldrums, but there were a few favorites out there, so let's have a look.

Favorites and Duds from Today's Commenting

Favorites, in no particular order:

I'm glad I actually took lunch today, else I might have missed ReverseApeChemist's funky scenography in the Twins' Sidd Finch post. This sketch unfolds in RAC's characteristic, [action]-driven fashion, and the punctuating collision/death is a much tighter coda than last week's query, which—I'm in agreement with Echo here—suffered from (1) issues of diction ("How dare you sir!") and (2) the "buns" wordplay being perhaps too expected—or not oblique enough—as a kicker. Further, I think that last week's dialogue doubled back on itself too much to carry the burden of the punchline, whereas today's more straightforward, upward progression read far more intuitively. Don't reach around your ass to scratch your elbow, monkey man.

The remainder of today's favorites come from the Brotastic Fantasy Draft story. Milo Minderbinder first dropped by with that familiar twist-a-quote cut he's known for. I also audibly laughed at marmol heater's sudden downturn into slasher horror; honestly, reading back through the ad after marmol's comment, I can't help but feel some sinister intentions afoot. Finally, I'd like to award the Comment of the Day to WildaBeest, whose fifth (!) offering on the Kinja platform brought a load of oooh's and aaah's from all in attendance. In truth, I'm not fully convinced that pkellen2313 didn't lose his pass key and created a burner just to fire off that beautiful shot. Well done, WB, whoever the hell you are.

Total Fucking Duds

It's late, and I've got shit to do. No duds tonight. Drop off your favorites from the day down there in the comments, and let's finish the week strong.
