A Bad Place Full Of Bad Jerks
A Bad Place Full Of Bad Jerks

I wrote this in simpler times. I’m staying off the internet for the most part for the foreseeable future. But remembering guys is a good time, or it was. Shit, I don’t even know what a good time is anymore...

There are a lot of people who’ve done rapping. Most of them were really bad and terrible and the faster we forget they ever rapped, the better. But some of them were pretty good! Or maybe they were just really enjoyable in the moment. It’s fun to think about those guys and gals.

Hip-Hop heads, who are always reasonable people, especially online, will no doubt respond with polite commentary reminding me that many of these acts are still around, still producing, and are perhaps key parts of other more legendary rap collectives. Some will point out that certain members of group acts also released solo albums. Others will simply assert that these acts should not be treated as marginal. I appreciate the measured tone those comments will undoubtedly take, and in kind, I reply: Fuck outta here, herb-ass lames.
