Helluva day, people. A lot of honest joke-making is going on out there, and that makes this Roundup-writing a worthwhile pursuit—that is, until Shitehawk no longer has the solvency to compensate us anymore. ANYway ...

Favorites and Duds from Today's Commenting

Favorites, in no particular order:

I have the most unfounded and yet deep hatred for A.J. Pierzynski. I have no idea why. Probably because he just looks like an Everytool sort of jackass. Anyway, where was I? Ah yes, BloodGames wrote a laugher of a dialogue in the Pierzynski Smear story that is wonderful exercise in "where is this going?" types of jokes. What I like about this one is that BG certainly knows his endpoint, and the sudden reveal in the last two lines amps the misapprehension of the scene up to full volume. This is your Comment of the Day.

All of this LeBron news seriously has people in a tizzy, don't it? Crammed among all of the Very Important Discussion, though, some quality jokesters gave some splendid efforts. Like for instance Same Sad Echo's tidy reworking of the LeBron Internet Clues post. Very neat.

I liked rubdirtinittakealap's gross-out photoshop in the Bruised Rangers Fan for all of its amateurish, square-peg-round-hole wonkiness.

I have no idea what happened to the rest of the comments in the Hairston-Gordon Car Trade, but at least DougExeter's simple idiocy survived the maelstrom.

Some burner named FilthFlarnFilth showed up with a taut wordplay in the BrooklyKnight (sp?) Obituary that made me smile and contentedly mutter "yes, indeed." Good stuff.

If you're not already feeling clinically depressed today, have a gander at ThePDFGhost's submission in the afternoons' 'Bron Non-Story. Criminy.

Total Fucking Duds
